I hope your celebration is safe and peaceful.

Whatever this holiday means and represents to you, I hope that it is safe, restorative, and exactly what you needed.

Jason,

Christmas is one of my family's favorite holidays. Of course, there will be smaller gatherings this year and we will be spending more time at home. At least for me, it's a time to be thankful and enjoy family (if not in person, then over the phone or via Zoom).

Since the election, my 6-year-old has gotten me into the Mandalorian series, and the kids and I have done a lot of baking (bread, cookies, brownies) and virtual schooling...baking is much easier.

I did make a major campaign promise to my family that I'm happy to say I followed through with this past week. On December 19, Erik and I brought home an 8-week old yellow Labrador retriever puppy. So just when one chaotic part of my life ends, another begins...

Whatever this holiday season means and represents to you, I hope that it is safe, restorative, and exactly what you need at the end of this tough year.

Next week's going to be a big week for our democracy as we prepare to win the Georgia runoffs and bring an end to Mitch's majority.

But for now, get some rest. I'll see you on the other side.

Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays,
Amy, Erik, Teddy, George, Ellie, and Oscar (our new pup)
