1,017 votes.
That was the margin in Democrat Maggie Hassan's U.S. Senate election in New Hampshire in 2016, Jason.
Well now Maggie is up for re-election in 2022, and you better believe Mitch McConnell can count to 1,017.
Right now, Democrats have a majority in the U.S. Senate, but with the chamber split 50-50, there is literally no margin for error. We have to defend every seat as if lives depend on it.
Because they do.
If we lose just one seat, McConnell will retake that gavel and grind the Senate to a complete halt until the next presidential election.
We can't let McConnell take back the Senate next year. We have too much work to do. So right now, will you split a donation to help re-elect Senator Hassan and defend our Majority?
If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: | | Senator Hassan has been a leader in the fight to address the climate crisis, make college more affordable, protect a woman's right to make her own health care decisions, tackle the opioid crisis, and build an economy that works for everyone.
But McConnell will stop climate action in its tracks. He'll stop student loan debt relief. He'll block judges who will uphold the privacy of women's health care. And he'll protect a corrupt tax and monetary system that funnels wealth to the top.
Winning a Senate election means investing early. It means investing in organizing and community mobilization over many months. It means having resources and infrastructure to combat the inevitable GOP onslaught of misinformation and attacks.
Because they're coming. And we have to be ready.
That's why I'm asking you today, Jason: Will you chip in $20 or more right now to support Senator Maggie Hassan's re-election campaign and keep Democrats in the majority? If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately: | | Thanks,
Jon |
