Jason — checking in with you before we get to the end of the week (and our big FEC deadline).
My team and I have been reaching out a lot the past few days. I know there are so many other worthy causes making asks of you, too. So I just wanted to send a quick note directly to you to let you know how thankful I am to have you on this team.
We started The American SOS Project with a simple idea — that Donald Trump, wannabe dictator that he is, shouldn't be allowed to install his cronies in roles that'll oversee the 2024 vote in battleground states. And we are willing to fight like hell to stop him.
This organization began without many resources, without any full-time staff, and without a clear roadmap to how we were going to get this done. But over the past five months, we've grown into a force, with real resources that are going directly towards defeating Trump's extreme candidates — and I can say that, because I'm not the one who did it: You are.
Not to get overly earnest with you, Jason, but the way this team steps up to fund this often-overlooked, but absolutely essential work gives me hope for the future of our country. At a time when optimism isn't always particularly easy to find, you all remind me that we truly can make a difference when we work together. One person trying to solve the problem of Donald Trump and stop his anti-democratic plots? Tough luck. This group together? Well, we've got a real shot at it.
That's why I send emails like this, and it's why I'm going to ask you again tonight: We've still got $36,976 left to raise to meet our budget for the month of September — will you pitch in any amount right now to help get there?
Thank you so much. I appreciate you reading these emails.
Amy
