Jason, what a week!
For the month of September, we set an ambitious fundraising goal — one that some of us around here thought wasn't possible. But thanks to so many of you stepping up, we just had our best week of grassroots fundraising since we launched this organization, and we got within $4,482 of that "impossible" target.
I'm not going to ask you to close that gap today (we'll get to that later — I have total faith in this team). Instead, I need to know right now if you've got it in you to keep hustling through Election Day to defeat Donald Trump's ultra-MAGA candidates.
I have to know who I can count in in these critical days ahead — add your name and say you'll be on the frontlines of this urgent fight alongside me.
Jason, I know as well as anyone that it's exhausting to keep going up against Trump and his followers when they constantly double down on their lies and conspiracies. At some point, it can feel easier to tune it all out. But this isn't just any election — it's not just Democrats vs. Republicans.
It's democracy vs. dictatorship.
So we can't tune out, and we can't let up. I'm determined to do every single thing in my power to make sure election deniers don't end up overseeing voting in our key battlegrounds. But I cannot do it alone.
If you're all in to do what it takes for 37 more days to protect our democracy from Trump's despicable interference, I'm asking you to let me know right now by signing your name.
When I was in the Marines, I really didn't imagine a time when everyday Americans — folks who didn't sign up for this, who certainly didn't enlist in our military — would be asked to take action again and again to protect and defend the very concept of democracy. But that's where we are — thanks to Donald Trump and the people who stood by and let him ascend to power. The future of this country depends on what everyday Americans like me and you do in the next five weeks.
I know this team is capable of pulling off the unimaginable together, and I'm so grateful to have you on it.
Thank you.
Amy
