Jason,
Saturday marked the one year anniversary of Donald Trump turning himself in to the Fulton County jail. The mugshot, the first and only police booking photograph of a former U.S. president, is now worn on T-shirts by his supporters. (Pretty weird, if you ask me.)
Trump's visit to the Fulton County jail was the 3rd time he turned himself in for federal and state charges in 2023. And this year, Trump was convicted of 34 felony counts by a jury of his peers in New York. These are the consequences of his own self-serving actions – because that's just who Donald Trump is: A grifter and a crook.
Now, this convicted felon is running for president to radically reshape America. From attacking the independence of our justice system to undermining faith in our elections to purging the federal government of non-MAGA employees, his agenda threatens the very pillars of our democracy.
I know it sounds like hyperbole, but it's absolutely true: The values that we as Americans hold dear are all on the line in November. Justice is on the ballot. Our rights are on the ballot. The future of our democracy is on the ballot.
You and I have a unique role to play to defeat Trump and Trumpism for good. Click here to chip in and help make sure key voters know this election is about whether an anti-democratic criminal is allowed to sit behind the Resolute Desk.
