A big part of what makes the second Trump administration so much more pernicious than the first is that there's this feeling out there that our side is powerless to stop them.
It's what Trump wants us to believe.
But it's not even remotely true.
We've seen Trump frequently back down in the face of public pressure. We've seen him roll back unpopular policies. As some on Wall Street describe it, "Trump always chickens out."
Now imagine a world in which he doesn't have Congress to empower and enable him. When Democrats have a House majority, we can block his legislation, impeach out-of-control officials, and investigate the massive corruption of this administration.
I'm asking you to believe in that future, because you and I are the ones who can make it come true. We set a grassroots goal of getting to 218 new donations before tonight's big FEC deadline, and we're just 27 away.
Will you chip in what you can right now and help make sure we hit this target before midnight?
