I'm Jeff Rothman, Beth's husband of 20 years and the lucky guy grinning in all those photos on her campaign website.
Usually, it's Beth sending out the emails. I am reaching out to you today because we're approaching an important moment in her campaign. And, people keep asking me the same question: "Why is Beth running?" So, I wanted to share my answer with you.
But first, will you contribute to Beth's campaign today?
We are living under an administration that's incompetent, cruel, and corrupt. And we need to change it.
And Beth is the exact opposite of everything that's broken in politics right now.
Beth's the most committed person I know—she beat cancer twice without ever dropping the ball for our kids, our community, or anyone who counted on her. That's the dedication Washington needs.
Beth's the most caring person I know—always showing up, making things happen, and giving a damn even when no one's watching. That's true public service.
And Beth's the most ethical person I know—honest, principled, and unwilling to sell out or give up, no matter how tough the fight. That's the integrity our government lacks.
Now, I'll tell you something about me. Asking for money is one of my least favorite things to do. It's awkward, it's humbling, and frankly, I wish democracy wasn't funded this way.
But Beth's fight for our community—and for good government in Washington—depends on it.
