Re: Why NY-17 is the single best investment to flip the House
The road to a Democratic House majority runs through New York's 17th District, and here's why this race should be at the top of every donor's priority list:
1. This race is a total toss-up.
The experts agree: NY-17 is one of the most competitive House races in the country. It's a statistical tie and one of just a few seats Democrats must flip to retake the House.
2. Vice President Kamala Harris won this district.
Even though it's currently represented by a Republican, NY-17 voted Democratic in 2024. This is prime red-to-blue territory, we just need the resources to compete and win.
3. Mike Lawler is vulnerable and distracted.
Lawler just voted for Trump's budget that would slash Medicaid and throw millions off their health care. Now he's picking petty fights with Elise Stefanik and floating a run for governor. He's not focused on this district, and voters see that.
4. Beth Davidson is the right candidate at the right time.
Beth is a Rockland County Legislator, school board leader, and working mom with a record of bipartisan results. Beth has already won tough races in purple districts and is ready to flip this seat.
5. This district could decide the House.
Flipping NY-17 gets us one step closer to firing Mike Johnson, ending MAGA control of Congress, and restoring a Democratic majority that actually delivers for working families.
