Three years ago today, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. They ended the constitutional protection of abortion that had been in place for nearly fifty years.
Ever since, MAGA extremists across the country have rushed to attack and restrict access to reproductive healthcare. Here in Arizona, the state legislature passed a 15-week abortion ban, and then the Arizona Supreme Court reinstated a near-total ban from 1864—before Arizona was even a state.
Thankfully, Arizonans overwhelmingly rejected these terrible laws by voting to enshrine abortion rights in the state's constitution. But there is still so much to be done at the federal level to ensure our rights aren't stolen from us.
In Congress, I will always support a woman's right to make decisions about her body. I'll fight the extremists who think otherwise anytime, anyplace.
