shouldn’t Congress work for parents too?

Nikema Williams for Congress

Jason,

Women make up only 28% of lawmakers in Congress — and Congresswoman Nikema knows all too well, it shows.

Between unpredictable votes, late night sessions, and no formal parental leave, Congress just wasn't designed for working parents — especially mothers. But it doesn't have to stay that way.

We can build a Congress that works for moms — for lawmakers like Congresswoman Nikema and for the families and communities they represent. That means prioritizing real solutions like paid family leave, affordable childcare, maternal healthcare, and more.

These aren't fringe issues. They're kitchen-table concerns. And yet, time and time again, Washington treats them as an afterthought.

The solution is simple: we must elect more moms to Congress. More lawmakers who understand what's at stake — because they've lived it.

We want to hear from you, Jason: Do you agree Congress should be more accessible for working parents?
