| Jason, Today marks three years since the overturning of Roe v. Wade, which effectively ended the constitutional right to access abortion. This fall, my daughter will be starting her freshman year of college, and I cannot believe she has fewer rights than I did at her age. Outrage doesn't begin to cover it. While once unthinkable, abortion bans have had devastating effects on women across the country. In state legislatures nationwide, extreme politicians have put draconian laws in place, threatening to imprison women and doctors, putting women in life-or-death situations, and forcing women to travel hundreds of miles for basic reproductive care. As a mom and a two-time cancer survivor, I went through IVF to build my family, so I understand firsthand how deeply personal and political reproductive freedom is — especially now as states move to limit contraceptives and other reproductive care. I know the importance of having the freedom to make decisions about my own body, and I will never stop fighting to ensure every woman has the freedom and dignity to access the reproductive care she needs. This fight is far from over. We can't let extreme politicians take away our rights. That's why I'm running for Congress — to restore Roe v. Wade as the law of the land and stop the cruel rollback of women's rights. But I can't do this alone. With every passing day, Republicans in Congress continue to push their dangerous agenda. We need leaders who will stand up for reproductive freedom, fight back against these bans, and protect the rights of every woman across the country. Will you join me in this fight and help me get to Congress so I can continue fighting for our rights? |
