 | Jason, Before I ever came to Congress, I spent over a decade fighting for reproductive freedom at Planned Parenthood Southeast. That fight didn't end when I took the oath of office — I remain committed as ever to defending abortion access, because abortions are essential healthcare. That's why today — on the third anniversary of the Dobbs decision — I'm asking you to join me and sign on if you agree: We must continue fighting to protect the right to make our own reproductive decisions. In Georgia, the so-called "LIFE Act" went into effect shortly after the Dobbs decision, banning abortion after just six weeks — before many people even know they're pregnant. But even now, three years after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, we are still living with the devastating consequences. Last week, I introduced a resolution to honor Adriana Smith, a Black mother from Georgia who was kept on artificial life support against her family's wishes. Her story is a chilling example of what reproductive injustice looks like in a post-Dobbs world. I will not stop fighting to protect and expand reproductive freedom for generations to come, Jason — add your name if you're with me. Thanks for standing committed to this fight with me. — Congresswoman Nikema Williams Georgia's Fighting Fifth | | |
