| Jason, If you believe that politics in Washington is broken and no longer works for the American people, I agree. This is precisely why I am running for office. I am not a career politician, but a public servant who for 25 years has poured my blood, sweat and tears into this community and country. For 25 years, I have been committed to educating, equipping and empowering our community with the best legal information available. Recently, I took to social media to break down the Supreme Court's decision on racial profiling in ICE raids in Los Angeles. |
| It's important to me that I use my expertise to share about the policies and decisions impacting our communities. Here's what's different about me and my campaign: I'm all about the people and I'm meeting voters where they are. Whether that be online or in person, whether they are politically active or not, whether they are Republican or Democrat, I'm ready to engage with them and more importantly: LISTEN. When someone expresses their frustrations with what's not working about systems, laws and politics, I don't get defensive. I listen because everyone has a different experience and a different perspective that we can all learn from if we take the time to listen. Afterwards I say: I hear you and I understand where you are coming from. Are you willing to work together to do something about this? While other campaigns wait until they have a massive communications team strategizing their every move to connect with voters on social media, I'm working hands on to break down the biggest issues of the day – like this Supreme Court decision — so that voters can stay informed and up to date in our ever-changing world. I launched my campaign because we need representation that listens to and connects with constituents. I believe that if we can create a movement that's founded on conversations, on listening to one another, on connection and community, we can flip the script and build an incredible future that works for all of us. If you're with me and ready to see things done differently, please chip in to my campaign TODAY. Any amount you can contribute goes a long way. There's no better time than the present to be a part of this movement. Together, we will make a difference and be the change we want to see in the world. |
We're Better Together, Lisa |
