Jason, What happened in Virginia this year is not a fluke. It is proof that the Emerge model works. Our wins in Virginia started when we came to the state in 2013. Then, in 2017, we replaced Republicans with women of the New American Majority. In 2019, we flipped the House of Delegates and the State Senate from red to blue. This year, Emerge alum Abigail Spanberger was elected the commonwealth's first woman governor, and Emerge women flipped 8 House of Delegates seats from red to blue. Now, 25 of 100 representatives in the House of Delegates are Emerge alums. That is what a decade of investment looks like. Our first-time candidates won at 63 percent, six times the national average. Every single one of those victories started years before Election Day. With recruitment. With training.
