As 2020 comes to a close, the days seem to be passing more quickly, and yet, not quickly enough. So many people are suffering from illness, loss, loneliness, economic hardship, and “food insecurity” -- which is another way to say going hungry. It’s unconscionable that Senate Republicans let seven months go by without voting on the Heroes Act passed by the Democratic House last May. If Jon and Reverend Warnock win their runoff elections on January 5, the reign of Republican obstruction in Washington will end with Democrats controlling the House and the Senate, and then, on January 20, the White House.
