Jason, Trump's handpicked Postmaster General Louis DeJoy may still be running the USPS, but thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, we have a major win to celebrate:
The U.S. Postal Service just rolled out a plan to purchase 66,000 electric vehicles by 2028 — reversing course from DeJoy's plan for a 90% fossil fuel powered fleet.
Thanks to the majorities this grassroots team helped elect in 2020, Democrats authorized more than $3 billion in spending for an all-electric USPS fleet.
This is a major step forward to transitioning off fossil fuels and protecting our environment, but it's not all good news.
DeJoy is once again raising prices on USPS customers — the folks relying on the Postal Service for medications, retirement benefits, and even just staying in touch with loved ones. We deserve better.
It's clear — this Trump crony has to go:
Add your name to our petition calling for Louis DeJoy's resignation as Postmaster General so we can accelerate the overhaul of USPS with green vehicles, lower prices, and great service for all Americans.
Thanks for raising your voice today.
