Brian Kemp setting stage for a Senate run

This is important, team:    Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp is quietly gearing up to launch a Senate campaign to unseat me. He had a closed-door meeting with Mitch McConnell and the leadership of the GOP's Senate campaign arm. And now, he's funding polling that includes my name. As Kemp prepares to challenge me, remember his track record: He pushed through one of the nation's most restrictive abortion bans. He signed a law that limits bans nonpartisan volunteers from providing food and water to voters who are waiting in line. And he STILL REFUSES to expand Medicaid, which would lower health care costs and save rural hospitals. If Kemp throws his hat in the ring, McConnell will pull out all the stops to get him elected. Passed historic infrastructure and manufacturing policies that are attracting thousands of new jobs to Georgia. Passed legislation to address the opioid epidemic. Capped the cost of insulin for seniors at $35 a month. Expanded broadband access to rural and underserved communities.  Upgraded public infrastructure – roads, bridges, airports –  across the state. Led a bipartisan probe into the mistreatment of our service members and military families in privatized housing on bases. Led major bipartisan investigations of human rights and civil rights abuses. Advanced the causes of civil rights and voting rights, authoring landmark voting rights legislation – Right to Vote Act – to establish the first-ever statutory guarantee of voting rights for Americans.
