In 2010, the Supreme Court's Citizens United v. FEC decision gave corporations the same free speech rights as individuals. This allowed corporations to spend millions to influence elections, undermining our democracy. For too long, the rich and powerful have been able to manipulate our elections to benefit themselves Last election year, the 1% pumped over $1 billion into the campaigns of far-right extremist candidates. Big Pharma, the fossil fuel industry, and various dark money special interest groups have taken hold of our political system. It's time to overturn the decision from Citizens United v. FEC and give the power back to the people. Corporate interests should not be allowed to spend unlimited amounts of money to swing elections. They shouldn't be able to undermine the voice and vote of everyday Americans or further erode the peoples' trust in government. We MUST build a democracy where everyone plays by the same set of rules and everyone, no matter how wealthy, can make their voices heard. Sign our petition to Congress: We need a democracy where all voices can be heard. Overturn Citizens United now!
