Jason, New York City is facing an affordability crisis. We aren't building nearly enough affordable housing to keep up with our growth. Back in the day, New York City did big things. We transformed a generation of housing for people who came from all over the world to make it in this city. We built Mitchell-Lama—the most successful housing program in humankind. It really breaks my heart, and it angers me, that the "City of Yes" has become the city of "no can do." When I'm Mayor, I'll make sure we're building for the people who need it the most. For starters, we'll build the next generation of affordable housing on city owned vacant lots. But I'm going to need your help. Will you join our team as an early supporter? All donations from $10-$250 from NYC residents are matched 8 to 1 by the city. So your $10 donation becomes $90! |
