A story I hope you’ll take a moment to read

It all started with a simple demand for accountability. ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌ ͏‌

Jason,

It all started with a simple demand for accountability.

Republican lawmakers were cracking and packing congressional districts to their liking, deliberately silencing Black voters in the process.

Local organizers in Alabama called out these injustices and took the powerful agents of voter suppression and racial gerrymandering all the way to the Supreme Court — and won.

Now, Democrats have a huge opportunity to flip and take back control of the House, Black voters have more fair representation, and our democracy lives to fight another day.

That's just one of many stories that stem from local organizing happening in our target states. I hope by reading this today, you understand why investing in activists working throughout the Deep South, Appalachia, and the Plains is so, so important.
