Jason, Right now, too many Floridians are stuck in a "coverage gap" where they make too much money to qualify for Medicaid benefits but don't make enough to afford private health insurance. Under our current system, childless adults are ineligible for Medicaid coverage, and parents must earn less than 28% of the federal poverty level – that's less than $7,230 for a family of 3 annually! Working families are struggling to access the essential health care they need to keep themselves and their families safe and healthy. By expanding Medicaid in Florida, we could expand access to 1.4 million Floridians and help close the coverage gap. This is our chance to ensure that every Floridian has access to quality and affordable health care when they need it so we can improve health outcomes and prevent unnecessary premature deaths. We're working to secure the signatures we need to put Medicaid expansion on the ballot, but we can't do it without your support! Will you chip in $3, $5, $10, or whatever makes sense to you so we can spread the word to voters across the state? |
Together, we will secure healthcare as a right for ALL Floridians! Florida Decides Healthcare |
