DeJoy, who has prior experience in the USPS, opted to slow mail delivery times and has proposed a disastrous plan to privatize the system. Millions of Americans have been impacted by the dramatic drop in the USPS's quality. Our postal service is vital, and an untold number of our communities rely on timely deliveries of things like medicines, paychecks,laboratory results, and direct-to-consumer goods. Unfortunately, only the USPS Board of Governors can actually fire DeJoy and enable President Biden to nominate a replacement for him. Previously, the Board has declined to take action against DeJoy, but as a result of massive public pressure from concerned citizens like you, the tide may be turning. A bipartisan group of 26 Senators has demanded DeJoy halt his plans to consolidate mail sorting centers and slow delivery times. These lawmakers have raised concerns that DeJoy's changes could manipulate the outcome of our elections by slowing the delivery of mail-in ballots. Save the Post Office Coalition has sent 440,327 direct messages to the USPS Board, Inspector General and the Postal Regulatory Commission in support of firing Postmaster General Louis DeJoy.
