Jason, Congratulations to Emerge's Seated Together Class of 2024. The third cohort just graduated 11 trailblazing Black women from across the country. Let's celebrate them! π This is a critical moment in our democracy, and it is empowering to see the next generation of leadership ready to win this November! Seated Together is Emerge's advanced candidate leadership program specifically for Black women elected officials who aspire to run for higher office. The program was co-founded by Congresswoman Emilia Sykes (OH-13) and Colorado state Rep. Leslie Herod. Just last week, our third Seated Together cohort graduated and we gathered in Washington, DC to celebrate at our annual Level Up event. The 2024 class included: - Representative Rhetta Andrews Bowers, Texas, House District 113
- Representative Morgan Cephas, Pennsylvania, House District 192
- Senator Merika Coleman, Alabama, District 19, Chair Alabama Legislative Black Caucus
- Representative Gina H. Curry, Pennsylvania, Legislative District 164
