JD, I hate to break it to you, but have you met your running mate? This is a guy who refused to accept the outcome of a free and fair election because he didn't get his way. He inspired a violent insurrection on the Capitol to try to stop that election from being certified. His supporters attacked police officers and threatened to hang Mike Pence. He said he wants to "terminate" parts of the Constitution and promises to be a "dictator on Day One." The not-so-secret playbook for his second term — Project 2025 — would give the president ludicrous levels of power while purging anyone who's not MAGA enough from having a job in the federal government. At rallies, he talks about rounding up millions of immigrants in a "bloody" crackdown. On social media, he fantasizes about putting his political opponents in prison. So, hell no, I won't stop calling Trump a threat to democracy — because that's exactly what he and his campaign are. It's not a hyperbole or inflated rhetoric — these are facts.
