Since DeJoy started, the USPS has majorly gone down hill. DeJoy opted to slow mail delivery times and enact extreme price hikes. This dramatic drop in the reliability of our postal system has impacted millions of Americans. Our communities rely on timely deliveries of medicines, paychecks, bills, lab results, and retail goods. Earlier this year, massive public pressure from concerned citizens like you forced DeJoy to reconsider some of his plans. He agreed to make a minimum of 62% of new USPS vehicle purchases electric, up from his initial plan of just 10%. After our pressure campaign, he also committed to a 40% reduction in overall USPS emissions by 2030. This year, our movement, again working with Congress, also forced DeJoy to pause his planned closures of USPS processing centers until at least January 2025 — this will help protect vote-by-mail during this crucial election season. Our outcry is working. We've got to keep up the public pressure on Louis DeJoy to stop the new mail slowdowns set and demand delivery service be restored to 2012 standards. Local newspapers have been forced to pay higher delivery charges, stifling local journalism. -
He's also blocked attempts at regulation of the USPS and shut down all criticism. We cannot allow this to continue — and our activism is working.
