Jason — Do you ever see the polls in the news and think to yourself, "Who in their right mind, after eight years of Trump, is still UNDECIDED in this election?!" Me too. So our team dug in to find out more, and the data is really fascinating. What I've come to understand is a whole lot of people who don't see themselves as Democrats need help to fully reject Donald Trump. Some are independents who dislike both parties. Some are lifelong Republicans who know deep down that Trump is dangerous. Many come from military backgrounds or families. I call these folks pro-democracy voters, because our data shows if we appeal to basic democratic values and what's at stake in November — and if we do so with messengers who are patriotic but not partisan — we can win them over. If we do, that's a surefire path to victory. There are 4.5 million pro-democracy voters in the top seven battleground states alone. But reaching them takes work (and resources). And you have to remember the other side is trying just as hard to convince these voters to hold their nose and vote R. So let's go execute our plan — every donation before our quarterly FEC deadline will be matched, dollar for dollar, to help reach pro-democracy voters in battleground states.
