The Alaska Supreme Court recently upheld the certification of Ballot Measure 2, which, if passed, would end ranked choice voting in Alaska. Republicans have eyed the destruction of RCV ever since we defied the odds and elected the most popular politician in the state, Democrat Mary Peltola. |

RCV benefits candidates that build consensus, increasing incentives for reaching across the aisle to advance the common good. With the election of Mary Peltola, Alaska proved that our innovative election process allows for the most widely supported candidate to represent our great state.
Now, our election system is under siege by far-right Republicans who want to change the rules so they can hold onto their power!
