Here at Florida Decides Healthcare, we're working toward a future where seeing a doctor for preventative care is simple, affordable, and accessible to ALL Floridians.
Florida has the third-highest number of uninsured people in the nation. Too many Floridians are unable to catch health issues early on before they become life-threatening – driving up state spending on healthcare costs.
Right now, Florida spends MILLIONS to help cover uncompensated healthcare costs for uninsured Floridians and medical debt.
Expanding Medicaid would give 1.4 million Floridians access to the care they need when they need it AND cut state spending on healthcare costs. That's why we're working to secure the signatures we need to put Medicaid expansion on the ballot in 2026! |
