Today, Emerge is the nation's largest network of women elected officials and candidates. Emerge came directly out of Vice President Kamala Harris' bid for San Francisco district attorney in the early 2000s – she is the original Emerge woman. And with VP Harris at the top of the ticket, Emerge is uniquely positioned to leverage our state-based model, long-term investment in down-ballot races, and national network to help VP Harris and Democrats across the country win.
