Jason, We had over 550 Emerge alums on the ballot across the country last week, and most of those races were at the state and local levels. We are on track to have a win rate of around 70% overall – and we are already at 71% for our state legislative contests alone. Congratulations to Cindy Nava (NM SD9), one of the first former DACA recipients to be elected to office; Sujata Gadkar-Wilcox (CT SD 22), first Indian-American in the Connecticut State Senate; Hanadi Nadeem (NV AD34), the first Muslim woman in the NV Legislature, Alyia Gaskins, the first Black woman mayor of Alexandria, VA; Kyra Harris Bolden who was re-elected as the only Black woman justice on the Michigan Supreme Court; and Senator Keturah Herron who was re-elected to the Kentucky State Senate and remains the first out LGBTQ+ person of color in the body. We're proud to say our state and local trailblazing women are paving the path for progress for their communities! |
Thanks to you and your support, there is no other organization in Democratic politics that is consistently successful in getting women into office – year after year. Now more than ever, our state and local elected offices will be centered on protecting our rights and carrying on that momentum. This is what Emerge does best – and our work is just getting started as we're ramping up our efforts to recruit and train our new class of Democratic women. Will you contribute today to celebrate with us and help us kick off the 2025 recruitment season strong? Every dollar makes a difference in helping build a firewall against Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans. |
Thank you for your support, Emerge HQ |
