I want to talk to you about something serious that's going to hurt thousands of people right here in NY-17.
The House just passed Donald Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill," a devastating package that's set to slash Medicaid and SNAP benefits for working families, defund Planned Parenthood, and explode the deficit by more than $3 trillion over the next decade. In NY-17, more than 30,000 people could lose access to their healthcare, and more than 18,000 households could lose access to their food assistance.
After promising for months to protect Medicaid, Mike Lawler voted YES.
Lawler proved once again he stands with Donald Trump, and NOT with us. He brazenly voted to kick thousands of vulnerable New Yorkers—children, seniors, veterans, people with disabilities—off their healthcare, while also taking food off the tables of our most vulnerable families.
As a mom, two-time cancer survivor, and elected official, I'm running for Congress to make sure healthcare is a right, not a privilege. I'll fight for every family in NY-17 like I fight for my own.
