Christmas has a way of slowing everything down. But the truth of this moment is still heavy.
This year, President Trump ordered a blockade of Venezuelan oil tankers, rattling global markets and pushing the world closer to open conflict. Federal immigration agents now operate masked and unmarked, making arrests with no accountability, tactics ripped straight from a fascist playbook. And the House has passed legislation that would criminalize lifesaving care for transgender kids, turning cruelty into federal policy.
This is all happening in the same country where families are opening gifts, where kids are laughing on living room floors, where people just want to feel safe and seen and free.
That is why Forward Blue exists. And that is why what you do matters so much.
I started this work because I believe deeply that politics should be about protecting people, not punishing them. I have seen what happens when regular people decide they will not look away. I have also seen what happens when they do. The difference is organizing. The difference is showing up. The difference is people like you deciding that despair does not get the last word.
So today, I just want to say thank you.
