Republicans will have total control of redistricting in 18 states, meaning they can gerrymander and rig elections to win back Congress. An independent redistricting commission could stop gerrymandering, put control into the hands of voters, and ensure a fair redistricting process. But we want to know if Springfield voting rights activists support independent redistricting commissions before we finalize our 2022 Voting Rights Strategy. Jason, do you support independent redistricting commissions? YES >> NO >> UNSURE >> Jason, we are terrified for the 2022 midterms if Republicans have full control of redistricting in 18 states. If we want to boost voter turnout even more in upcoming elections and pass voting rights legislation, we must do everything we can to stop Republicans from gerrymandering. If we don't, Republicans will TAKE BACK control of the House, the Senate, and the White House. NO!!
