Friend, I always love to hear from my constituents – and today, I'd like to tell you about a very special Georgian named Evan, who wrote me this note. |
Evan is just 8 years old and has Type 1 diabetes. His family, like millions of others across our country, is often forced to pay exorbitant out-of-pocket costs to get the lifesaving medication he needs to live a healthy life. No American should ever have to choose between filing a prescription and putting food on the table. That's why I just introduced a bill in the Senate to cap the cost of insulin and lower costs for working families. |
|
This is the note Evan wrote to me. It's an honor to fight for folks like him and his family. |
I'm working day in and day out to ensure kids like Evan have everything they need to get ahead. But while I'm fighting for lower health care costs, the GOP is rushing millions to defeat me. Republican donors just poured nearly $10 MILLION into my potential GOP opponent's campaign. I can't keep up our progress without your support. Experts at FiveThirtyEight say our race could decide Senate control – and polls show me 1 point behind my potential GOP opponent. |
With everything from affordable health care to voting rights on the line, I'm asking grassroots folks to chip in $5 – or as much as you can spare today – to power our movement to victory: Please, friend, will you give now to help me win in Georgia and build a better, brighter future for all our kids? |
Thank you for standing with me. |
