Dear Person Who Still Opens My Email, I hardly ever ask anything of you. Unless you're also on my other list of people who I constantly ask to contribute to something I don't think I can legally mention here. (Though it's a really good thing.) I want you to give to Josh Riley's campaign for the open House seat in NY's 19th district. |
Josh was my Judiciary Committee counsel, and I cannot say enough good things about him. But here's some. Josh grew up in the district in a working-class neighborhood of Endicott, NY. After graduating from Harvard Law School, Josh moved to Florida to work on a landmark civil rights lawsuit representing kids from low-income families who were having difficulty accessing the healthcare services they needed. Josh really, really cares about all the stuff I care about. Josh is the hardest worker I know. Together we passed bills expanding rights for survivors of domestic abuse and providing new funding for addiction treatment and mental health programs. We also made a lot of Republican witnesses look very bad. Josh is my friend. And finally, this open seat is considered one of the most competitive in the nation. |
Control of the House is up for grabs. Please help Josh win this one for all of us. This is important. To me. And to our nation. Thanks, Al P.S. In my other letters, I always end with a P.S. that's just an excuse for another ask. Josh is now officially the Democratic nominee in NY-19. Please donate now! |
