Jason, it's my way or the highway with Gov. Mike Dunleavy.
Alaska Democrats in the State Legislature have been fighting tooth and nail to secure critical funding for our public schools, and we passed the largest base student allocation increase in Alaska history with overwhelming support. This funding is critical to keeping schools across Alaska open and thriving! We know our public schools are struggling, and yet Gov. Dunleavy vetoed this bill and is using this moment as an opportunity to steamroll local education boards. Gov. Dunleavy will do anything to pass his extreme agenda, and we can't let his allies in the Alaska legislature get a supermajority in November. We need a veto-proof majority. This is a pivotal moment for the future of Alaska's public schools, and it's never been more important to elect public school champions who will fight to secure the resources our schools need to support our students. We have a chance to send candidates like Denny Wells to Juneau, who is running against Rep. Tom McKay in State House District 15. Rep. McKay will no doubt stick with the Governor on his anti-public education agenda. Can we count on you to chip in $5 to help us elect Democrats across Alaska who will fight back against Gov. Dunleavy's extreme anti-public school agenda?
Together, we will give our students the education they deserve! Lindsay Kavanaugh Executive Director Alaska Democratic Party
