Jason,
It's infuriating to think about how close this election is — and likely will be until it's over.
But as my note below demonstrates: The path to victory is right in front of us. We know who we need to reach. We know the right messengers we need to reach them. And we know we can win enough of them over in key battleground states to defeat Donald Trump for good.
Targeting a state like North Carolina, with nearly 1 million pro-democracy voters, is a no-brainer. The only question is whether we can fully fund that work.
Tonight we close the books on April, and I'll be honest — it's been slower than we'd like. Soon, we'll need to start making hard decisions.
I'm coming to you to help make those decisions a little easier. Before tonight's budget deadline, will you chip in and help make sure we don't have to cut back our voter outreach programming?
Thank you,
Amy

Subject: A million people in North Carolina
Jason, I'll keep this really quick:
Two straight polls out of North Carolina show the race there is within the margin of error. What's more, our data shows that the state is home to nearly 1 million pro-democracy voters — a group 13 times larger than the margin of victory in 2020.
These voters tend to be from military families and they might even lean Republican — in typical elections. But these folks know this is far from your typical election. They're extremely worried about Donald Trump and what he would do to destroy our democracy.
I believe these folks will decide the outcome of this election. And our research shows exactly how we can win them over.
I'm asking you to chip in right now so we can reach as many pro-democracy voters in as many battleground states as we can — our plans rely directly on what we raise from grassroots supporters like you.
Whether we like it or not, this election will come down to the wire. Let's do everything we can in moments like this to make sure we don't come up short. Our democracy depends on it.
Thank you,
Amy
