| Jason, Yesterday, Republicans in Congress voted against extending ACA tax credits for another three years. These credits are the only reason millions of families across the country, including hundreds of thousands in Georgia, can afford their health insurance. Democrats put forward a bill to keep that relief in place. Republicans killed it. They know exactly what will happen. When these credits expire, premiums will skyrocket. Families will lose coverage. People will delay care. More Georgians will get sick. Some will die. And Republicans do not care. They want to score political points against the Democrats, even if it means ripping health care out of the hands of everyday Georgians. Because suffering proves their point. Because chaos helps their agenda. Because they think no one will hold them accountable. I was proud to author legislation in the State Senate to protect Georgians' access to healthcare and extend ACA tax credits at the state level, because I knew that Republicans' healthcare cuts would devastate families. This is why I am running for governor. Because families deserve leaders who fight for their health, not walk away from it. Because Georgia needs a governor who will stand up and say enough. Because health care is not a bargaining chip. If you agree that Georgia deserves leaders who will build a healthier, safer, more affordable future, can you chip in $5 today? |
| We cannot let politicians who root for suffering stay in power. Not here. Not anywhere. Thank you for staying in this fight with me. Jason |
