Jason, I was 24 the first time I ran for office. No fancy consultants. No big donors. I just believed my hometown community needed young voices at the table. So I ran for City Council. I knocked on doors, listened to my neighbors, and talked about the kind of representation Michiganders deserved. Guess what? We won that race with more votes than any other City Councilmember. And in that role, I was able to make real, lasting change in my community by challenging the status quo. I've carried that same mindset with me throughout my career. Stay grounded, stay honest, and never forget who you're fighting for. Now, I'm running for Congress as we fight against new forces that try to divide us, roll back our freedoms, and put the interests of those in power ahead of working people. My mentality is the same as it was back when I ran my first campaign. We need bold, fresh voices – because the current leadership is no longer working.
