At the top of their list of concerns is the potential expiration of the New START treaty, the last remaining agreement limiting the expansion of the U.S. and Russian nuclear arsenals. Serious geopolitical tensions are escalating every day, accelerated by efforts like the Trump administration's reckless expansion of U.S. imperialism into countries like Venezuela and even Greenland. Trump's demonstrated willingness to drag us into foreign conflict only makes the New START treaty's expiration more alarming. A removal of these limits would likely trigger a disastrous new nuclear arms race between the US, Russia, and China.
