I don't usually quote Mike Johnson but he said something important recently:
"If we lost the midterms — heaven forbid, if we lost the majority in the House — it would be the end of the Trump presidency in a real effect."
That's the Speaker of the House admitting out loud what we already know: this midterm is a referendum on everything Trump has done and everything he still wants to do.
But Republicans aren't sitting still. Trump has a $300 million super PAC. Outside groups are already polling races and writing checks. The NRCC has seats like mine at the top of their list. They are going to spend whatever it takes to hold this majority.
