"While I breathe, I hope"

Our movement of hope for South Carolina doesn't end with my campaign. Change is coming, and party-building will turn my home state blue.

Jason--

My home state's motto is, "While I breathe, I hope." We didn't beat Lindsey Graham this time, but I'm so proud of our movement of hope for South Carolina. We proved that a New South is rising -- one with leaders who reflect our communities and fight for everyone. I'm grateful for the South Carolina Democratic Party's work to uplift that next generation of leaders.

As the state party's first Black chair, I believe in the value of organizing across all 46 counties. Together, we built the infrastructure to empower more voters and bring change to our state. When I decided to challenge Lindsey Graham, South Carolina Democrats went all in to support my underdog campaign. Their dedicated staff and volunteers helped us register and turn out record-breaking numbers of Democratic voters.

Our movement of hope was made possible by the South Carolina Democrats -- and they share in my goal of building a bolder, more diverse South. If you're with us, I hope you'll split a donation between the South Carolina Democratic Party and Dirt Road PAC!

Turning South Carolina blue is a marathon not a sprint. Thanks to the state party and supporters like you, we've gained serious ground and proved that change is coming. Thank you for sharing our hope for South Carolina.

When we started this journey to bring hope back to our politics, we knew it would be hard and it would be long. Nothing worth doing is ever easy. We started a movement, a cause that brought millions of people together on this journey for unity and the future of America.

That journey — to heal our divisions, remind ourselves there is more that unites than divides us, that the real battles aren’t between right and left but between right and wrong, that journey, no matter how hard, must continue. That’s why I've launched “Dirt Road PAC” to make sure the work goes on to protect democracy, elect leaders who will bring us together, and restore a belief in the promise of America.

The mission of the “Dirt Road PAC” will begin in the Senate runoffs in Georgia, continue to the 2021 elections in Virginia, work on voter registration and build to help candidates and parties across the country in the mid term elections in 2022.

For me, this journey started on a dirt road in rural South Carolina. But we've got many miles left to travel -- I hope you'll join me in supporting Dirt Road PAC today.
