Jason, Alaska depends on fish, whether it's providing good-paying union jobs for our local communities or putting food on the table to feed our families. We need leaders like Democrat Mary Peltola in Washington who will listen to and work with our fishing communities to address the unique challenges we face here in Alaska. Take a look at some of the pro-fish legislation Mary recently introduced: - The Bycatch Reduction and Mitigation Act would help fishermen purchase new gear or technology to reduce bycatch, protect our fisheries, and ensure consumers have access to fresh seafood for generations to come.
- The Bottom Trawl Clarity Act would require clearly defined Bottom Trawl Zones to limit the amount of area where fishing gear touches the sea floor and reduce its impact on the environment.
Too often, politicians in Washington are either out of touch with most Alaskans or beholden to dark money special interest groups–that's why we're working around the clock to send Mary back to Congress in November! Can we count on you to chip in $15 (or anything you can!!) to defend Mary's seat and keep Alaska blue? |
