When leaders in the state legislature prioritize their own personal political agenda over funding Alaska's public schools, our children are the ones who pay the price.
Every child in Alaska, regardless of their zip code, deserves to have access to a quality education.
Our public schools are facing a major teacher recruitment and retention crisis because Gov. Mike Dunleavy and his anti-public school allies refuse to increase the BSA funding and give our schools the support they desperately need.
Not only did Gov. Dunleavy veto an education package that passed with overwhelming support in the state legislature and included the most significant increase to the public school funding formula in Alaska's history, but Alaska Republicans flip-flopped on their vote and refused to override Gov. Dunleavey's veto.
Now, they want to use our tax dollars to cover tuition costs for religious private schools!
We just need to flip ONE seat to secure a veto-proof majority and give our students the education they deserve, but we can't do it without your help!
