Summer is just starting and NYC is already facing its first heat emergency of the year. Be sure to stay hydrated, avoid outdoor exertion, and check on your neighbors and relatives, especially the elderly.

The Adams Administration is completely failing our city during this crisis. City pools won't be open until next Thursday. Thanks to the Mayor's shortsighted budget cuts, the public libraries that so many New Yorkers use to cool off are closed on weekends and many libraries can't even afford to fix their air conditioning.
