Jason – we're one week away until the first presidential debate between President Joe Biden and former president turned convicted felon Donald Trump.
This debate has HUGE IMPLICATIONS for November and there will be a clear contrast for our future. We can either move forward with four more years of President Biden's strong record of advocating for working families, or go backwards with a convicted felon using his position of power to sow hate and bigotry.
If we're being honest, Jason: we know Trump is going to make the debate all about him. He is going to lie about his record and bring up his MAGA agenda, which would erase ALL of the progress we've made during these last four years.
On the other hand, we know that President Biden will discuss what he will do to continue improving the lives of everyday people – including rural Democrats who we aim to turn out in droves come November.
From creating an economy that works for everyone to fighting around the clock to protect reproductive freedom, President Biden has always put unity over division. And his message has resonated with Democrats in "red" areas who have been written off for decades.
Democrats in rural, "red" areas will be key to victory in November.
