Jason, Today marks two years since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, effectively dismantling nearly 50 years of precedent that guaranteed constitutional protections for reproductive rights. Since then, the ripple effects of the Supreme Court's decision in Dobbs have been felt across the country as women face unprecedented challenges and barriers to accessing reproductive care. In many states, restrictive laws have led to the closure of clinics, forcing women to travel hundreds of miles for care, endure long waiting periods, and navigate numerous obstacles to get the care they need. While reproductive rights remain protected here in Alaska under our state's constitutions, the NRCC and dark money special interest groups are already pouring MILLIONS of dollars into Alaska to support their anti-choice candidates and defeat Democrat Mary Peltola in November.
