I wanted to take a few minutes today to thank you and let you know why it means so much when you give to our campaign.

You're probably paying attention to other races.

I get it — the presidential race and the race to determine control of Congress are of utmost importance right now. Hopefully, you're making donations or volunteering for federal candidates as well.

But though it might feel like this election is far away, we need the resources now to have the best chance to compete next June.

You determine the success of our campaign.

Our campaign is funded, run, and shaped by everyday New Yorkers. When I decided to explore a campaign for mayor, I chose to use the city's Campaign Finance Program. That means when you donate $10 or more, the city matches it 8-to-1.

You'll probably get a lot of emails from us asking you to donate between now and our early October deadline.

That's our next — and final — fundraising deadline of the year. It'll be the last time we're able to demonstrate our strength — and our viability — to take on Eric Adams in 2025. With several other candidates now in the race, we need to make a huge splash.

In the meantime, thank you for being on our team, and thank you for everything you do to make the greatest city on Earth even better.
