Trump is talking about the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) — a law that ensures our military personnel abroad can exercise their right to vote via absentee ballot. It was signed into law almost 40 years ago by Ronald Reagan, but Trump says Democrats are going to use it to "cheat" in this election. Make no mistake – this isn't just a direct assault on the voting rights of those who risk their lives to protect our freedoms. This is another transparent attempt to lay the groundwork for contesting the election if Trump loses. Trump and his MAGA allies are willing to disenfranchise our troops and undermine our democracy, all for power. It's disgusting, and it should cost him support from pro-democracy voters who largely come from military families.
