Jason — Dirt Road PAC is proud to celebrate Black History Month and recognize the contributions of so many Black Americans past and present.
Black history is American history, and it deserves to be a part of the conversation every day — not only for the month of February.
Giants and trailblazers such as Fannie Lou Hamer, Jesse Jackson, and Shirley Chisholm have made the historic leadership of President Barack Obama and Vice President Kamala Harris possible through centuries of struggle, bending the moral arc of the universe a bit at a time. Black accomplishments and achievements have influenced and bettered our country for hundreds of years.
From the continuing fight for equal rights to pushing back against modern-day Republican anti-voter efforts, Dirt Road PAC is committed to fighting systemic racism and building a government at every level that represents and serves all of us. An important part of our work is advancing anti-racist values and uplifting candidates who are working to root out systemic injustices against Black Americans.
Our founder Jaime Harrison created Dirt Road PAC to support Americans often left behind or forgotten by our current political infrastructure. That's why we're determined to support candidates who fight for all Americans and believe in pushing our country to its highest ideals. In the words of Shirley Chisholm, "If they don't give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair."
We hope you'll join us this month in celebrating Black joy and accomplishment while recommitting to our work fighting for a better, more just future for all Americans.
